Refractory supervisor

Role Overview: As the Refractory Supervisor, your main responsibilities will include planning, organizing, and supervising all refractory installation and maintenance activities either on site or at the workshop. You will be required to interpret engineering drawings and job specifications for refractory jobs and coordinate closely with project and fabrication teams to ensure timely refractory lining during equipment assembly. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the preparation, mixing, casting, gunning, ramming, and curing activities of refractory materials. - Ensure proper brick lining, insulation, castable placement, and anchoring techniques are followed. - Conduct inspections and tests on completed refractory work to uphold quality assurance standards. - Maintain safety protocols, ensure housekeeping, and compliance with PPE regulations. - Manage manpower allocation, including masons, helpers, and temporary workers. - Monitor material usage to reduce wastage and maintain optimal inventory levels. - Keep detailed daily work logs, submit reports on progress, issues, and manpower. - Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to junior team members. - Coordinate with third-party vendors or subcontractors for specialized jobs as needed.
