Successful candidates will be part of a systems team that develops embedded camera and imaging solutions, image quality metrics  development image signal processor (ISP), advanced 3A algorithms ( Auto Exposure, Auto Focus and Auto White Balance ) for camera/image processing as well as integration with other technologies including motion sensors, video encoders, DSPs, GPU and display.Minimum Qualifications:•    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.Principal DutiesThe job responsibilities may include a subset of the following:Strong understanding of Camera fundamentals, 3A Algorithms, ISP modules, Optics, Color Science.3A + ISP image quality tuning to achieve desired Image Quality.Image Quality metric development for mobile/XR/AR devices.Evaluating ISP hardware and software modules, finding best optimized settings for given sensor.Deeper investigation into existing modules and come up interfaces that could simplify the tuningIdentify and improve existing algorithms for better user experienceDebugging and troubleshooting existing software and Image Quality issues.Partnering with global development team and external customersMinimum Qualifications0-2 years of experience in multimedia/embedded technologiesWorking experience of Image or Video Quality metrics development, Algorithm optimizationsSolid knowledge of Digital/image processing/Camera. Working experience with image processing algorithms. Background in color science and image signal processor pipelines is a plus.Knowledge/working experience in computer vision algorithmsExperience in development of Image Quality metrics or tuning on Camera Sensor tuning is added plusExperienced working with real time/embedded systems is a plusProgramming skills in C/C++, MATLAB, PythonPreferred QualificationsStrong knowledge of and experience in Camera Image Quality tuning, Experience in Linux camera sensor driver bring-up.Knowledge /Experience of 3A algorithms and Image Signal Processor ( Camera Hardware ) tuning experience.Have experience with Objective Image Quality evaluation metric using tools like IMATEST, IQ Analyzer Etc is a Plus.Experience in Working in Imaging Lab with various Test charts and lighting setups.Working experience with image/camera/Signal processing algorithms.Working experience with Android/linux Camera/Embedded systemsEducation RequirementsRequired: Bachelor degree of Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical EngineeringPreferred: Master degree of Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering Applicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
