Position Summary

GD Goenka School, Vasant Kunj is inviting applications for the role of an English Teacher for Grades III to V. The ideal candidate should be an enthusiastic and innovative educator who can instill a love for the English language, enhance communication skills, and develop reading, writing, listening, and speaking abilities in young learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
  • Develop students grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, creative writing, and oral communication skills.
  • Use innovative teaching methodologies including storytelling, role play, group discussions, and project-based learning.
  • Encourage reading habits through activities like book reviews, reading sessions, and library engagement.
  • Regularly assess and evaluate students' progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that nurtures confidence and curiosity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues for curriculum planning, events, and extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student performance.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Educational Qualification:

  • B.Ed (mandatory)

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in English or related field preferred

  • PYP/IB or CBSE teaching exposure will be an advantage

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of teaching English at primary school level.

  • Strong command over spoken and written English.
  • Excellent communication, creativity, and classroom management skills.
  • Proficiency in using technology and digital learning tools.
