About the Role

We are seeking a Senior System Engineer (Informatica) to join our Analytics Data Management (ADM) team. This is an exciting, fast-paced role for professionals passionate about building analytics platforms and tooling that deliver real business value.

As a key member of the team, you will work on engineering strategic data management platforms such as Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog and Apache NiFi, with opportunities to explore other modern tools like IICS/IDMC, PowerCenter, Master Data Management, IBM Cloud Pak for Data, and Google Cloud Data Fusion.

You will collaborate closely with Infrastructure Architects and global teams to design, implement, and optimize environments both on-premises and on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Engineer, test, and modernize data management platforms primarily Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog and Apache NiFi.
  • Enable cloud migrations for analytics platforms.
  • Define, document, and monitor global support procedures (Incident, Request, and Event Management).
  • Provide second-level support (Asia-Pacific/IST) for Informatica and related products.
  • Perform product installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with platform teams and vendors to resolve issues.
  • Develop custom installation guides, configurations, and scripts aligned with IT security policies.
  • Conduct thorough testing of product functionality.
  • Monitor system performance and implement optimization strategies.
  • Build automation scripts and tools to streamline repetitive tasks.
  • Maintain documentation, FAQs, and support resources on SharePoint.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Analysts, Business Stakeholders) to ensure platforms meet business needs.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with Informatica products:

  • IICS/IDMC

  • PowerCenter
  • Data Catalog (must-have)

  • Master Data Management

  • Hands-on experience with Apache NiFi including:

  • Java development for custom NiFi processors

  • Deployment & management on Red Hat OS environments

  • Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP):

  • Provisioning, administration, and troubleshooting

  • Experience with DataPlex or Cloud Data Fusion (CDF) highly preferred

  • Proven track record in installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of data management platforms.

  • Strong problem-solving, documentation, and multitasking abilities.

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to Cloud Infrastructure projects.
  • Security implementation (access control, encryption, vulnerability management).
  • Performance optimization & monitoring for enterprise data platforms.
  • Prior experience at Ford Motor Company with analytics products (a plus).
  • Familiarity with Agile practices and global support models.
