Sr. Kubernetes Engineer
We are looking for a talented Kubernetes Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and implementing cloud-native architectures using Kubernetes and related technologies for our clients. You will collaborate with Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to build and operate critical internal and external services, as well as contribute to transformational and enterprise-level initiatives.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and support DevOps features for a data protection solution using Kubernetes.
  • Build automation to easily create, manage, and tear down Kubernetes-based infrastructures.
  • Deploy application containers in clusters, automating the process.
  • Provide self-help deployment options for engineers and developers.
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters in a high traffic environment.
  • Observe, stabilize, and secure Kubernetes clusters.
  • Deploy production infrastructure using Terraform.
  • Reduce the impact of service disruptions through incident, problem, and change management.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers to review code and identify infrastructure dependencies.
  • Generate reports on service performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Champion change control management practices and incident response.
  • Automate production tasks using Python, Shell, or similar languages.
  • Deploy microservices in cloud systems, primarily AWS.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of overall work experience.
  • Experience as a Kubernetes SRE, working with Terraform, AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda), and Python.
  • Support exposure and excellent communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of Cloud Technology and Microservices.
  • Ability to contribute and fix bugs in upstream Kubernetes.
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes objects, deployments, and autoscaling.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions.
  • Ability to read Microservices code and understand cloud integrations.
  • Strong cloud troubleshooting skills using production log analytics and metrics.
  • Experience with programming and scripting (Python, Shell).
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code practices (CloudFormation, Terraform).
  • Consistently automate tasks using programming skills.
  • Experience with cloud monitoring tools like CloudWatch and Grafana.
  • Willingness to work in shifts, including night shift and 24/7 support window.
