Job Summary

The Senior SAP CPI Integration Consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing integration solutions using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) and related integration technologies. This role requires a seasoned professional with deep technical expertise in SAP integrations, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead end-to-end integration projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure seamless data exchange and process automation across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Architecture:

  • Develop and architect integration solutions using SAP CPI in accordance with business requirements.

  • Define integration strategies and best practices, ensuring scalable and secure solutions.

  • Development & Implementation:

  • Build, configure, and deploy integration flows (iFlows) in SAP CPI.

  • Work with APIs (SOAP/REST), adapters, and messaging protocols to connect SAP and non-SAP systems.

  • Develop custom integration artifacts and enhancements as required.

  • Project Leadership:

  • Lead end-to-end integration projects from requirements gathering through to implementation and post-deployment support.

  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance throughout project lifecycles.

  • Testing & Troubleshooting:

  • Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.

  • Troubleshoot integration issues and resolve them in a timely manner, ensuring minimal business disruption.

  • Documentation & Compliance:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of integration designs, configurations, and processes.

  • Ensure all solutions adhere to internal governance, security, and compliance standards.

  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

  • Work closely with business analysts, solution architects, and other IT teams to align integration strategies with business goals.

  • Engage with external vendors or consultants as needed to enhance solution delivery.

  • Experience & Technical Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in integration development, with a strong focus on SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI).

  • Proven expertise in developing, configuring, and maintaining integration scenarios using SAP CPI.

  • In-depth knowledge of SAP integration technologies including IDocs, BAPIs, and ALE, as well as modern web services (REST/SOAP).

  • Programming & Tools:

  • Proficiency in relevant programming/scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, JavaScript) used in integration development.

  • Familiarity with middleware and integration platforms beyond SAP CPI is a plus.

  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Strong analytical abilities with the capacity to understand complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications in SAP CPI or integration technologies are advantageous.

  • Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage projects and mentor team members.

  • Experience with other SAP modules and integration middleware (e.g., SAP PI/PO).

  • Hands-on experience in cloud platforms and microservices architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in agile development environments.
