Position Title: Finance Executive

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented financial analyst to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing timely and accurate financial reports, ensuring all month-end closing processes are executed smoothly, and assisting with the financial statement preparation process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Finance Reporting:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies.

• Ensure financial reports accurately reflect the financial position of the organization.
• Assist in the preparation of management reports, including variance analysis, cash flow statements, and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Generate key performance indicators (KPIs) and other relevant financial metrics to support decision-making.
• Analyze and monitor employee costs and overhead budgets and expenditures, providing insights to management on variances and trends.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather required data for reporting purposes.

• MIS Reporting:

• Oversee and ensure the timely and accurate completion of all month-end closing processes.

• Prepare and post month-end journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with accounting standards.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial data. Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data and accounting records.
• Review and verify all accounts are properly closed at month-end, ensuring no errors or omissions.

• Coordinate with other teams (e.g., accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll) to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.

• Financial Analysis:

• Perform financial analysis, including reviewing monthly income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

• Conduct variance analysis to explain any deviations between actual and budgeted financial results..
• Assist with budget preparation and forecasts, providing necessary data and insights.

• Process Improvement:

• Assist in identifying opportunities to improve financial reporting processes and internal controls.

• Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline the month-end close cycle.
• Support the implementation of financial systems or software upgrades as needed.

• Audit Support:

• Assist in the preparation of documents and schedules for external auditors during annual audits.

• Respond to audit queries and provide necessary supporting documentation

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Chartered Accountant.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial reporting and MIS preparation and presentation.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong proficiency in accounting software D365 Business Central.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and best practices.
• Key Competencies:
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to interact with various internal teams (e.g., HR, payroll, senior management).
• Proactive and adaptable to changes in accounting processes and systems.
