Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
Supervise and control all CCM operations including start-up, casting, cutting, and cooling processes.
Coordinate with furnace and rolling mill teams for production planning.
Monitor casting parameters to ensure product quality and process consistency.
Optimize casting speed, mold level, and secondary cooling for metallurgical quality.
Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of CCM equipment (molds, oscillators, dummy bar, withdrawal unit, etc.).
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and automation issues in casting line.
Review and analyze equipment performance and implement improvement plans.
Ensure adherence to metallurgical and quality standards.
Minimize defects such as cracks, blowholes, segregation, etc.
Enforce strict safety protocols during casting and maintenance.
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
Lead and train a team of operators, engineers, and technicians.
Prepare shift schedules and ensure manpower availability.
Conduct performance reviews and promote skill development.
Maintain daily production and maintenance logs.
Coordinate with production planning, quality control, and maintenance departments.
Generate reports on machine performance, downtime, and casting yields.
Strong technical knowledge of CCM operations and metallurgy
Familiarity with automation systems (PLC/SCADA)
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
