## Job Profile: Chartered Accountant / Senior Accountant

### Overview

As a Chartered Accountant/Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial records and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Your expertise will not only contribute to the financial health of the organization but also support strategic decision-making through accurate reporting and analysis.

### Key Responsibilities

#### 1. Financial Statement Preparation


•⁠ ⁠*Accounts Preparation*: Prepare and maintain comprehensive financial records, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.


•⁠ ⁠*Monthly and Annual Closing*: Oversee the monthly and annual closing processes, ensuring timely reporting and adherence to deadlines.

#### 2. Tax Compliance and Appeals


•⁠ ⁠*CIT Appeals Support*: Assist senior management in preparing and filing Corporate Income Tax (CIT) appeals and representing the organization in tax tribunals, ensuring all documentation is accurate and submitted on time.


•⁠ ⁠*Tax Planning*: Collaborate with the tax team to develop effective tax strategies that minimize liabilities while ensuring compliance with all regulations.

#### 3. ITR Filing Coordination


•⁠ ⁠*Follow-Up with Chartered Accountant*: Liaise with the appointed Chartered Accountant to ensure timely filing of Income Tax Returns (ITR), providing necessary documentation and information as required.

#### 4. Additional Accounting Tasks


•⁠ ⁠*Statement Preparation*: Prepare various financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders, providing insights into the organization's financial performance.


•⁠ ⁠*Ad Hoc Analysis*: Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability.

#### 5. Taxation and Compliance Assistance


•⁠ ⁠*Regulatory Compliance*: Assist in ensuring compliance with all applicable taxation laws and regulations, staying updated on changes in tax legislation.


•⁠ ⁠*Support in Audits*: Provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits, ensuring a smooth audit process.

### Qualifications and Skills


•⁠ ⁠*Educational Background*: Chartered Accountant (CA) with a strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.


•⁠ ⁠*Experience*: Proven experience in accounting and taxation, preferably in a corporate setting.


•⁠ ⁠*Analytical Skills*: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.


•⁠ ⁠*Communication*: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective liaison with stakeholders.
