Senior Software Engineer - Spring Boot Java Developer
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with 4-6 years of hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot development to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building scalable, high-performance applications with modern authentication mechanisms and a passion for writing clean, maintainable code.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Development

• Design, develop, and maintain robust RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot and Java
• Implement scalable solutions following microservices architecture patterns and best practices
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to SOLID principles
• Implement OAuth 2.0 authentication and authorization flows for secure API access
• Develop and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and automated test suites
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance issues

System Design & Architecture

• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical design discussions
• Design database schemas and optimize queries for performance
• Implement security best practices including OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect authentication and authorization mechanisms
• Design and implement secure API authentication using JWT tokens and refresh token strategies
• Configure Spring Security OAuth2 Resource Server for microservices architecture
• Ensure applications are built with scalability, reliability, and maintainability in mind
• Document technical specifications and system architecture

Collaboration & Leadership

• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and DevOps
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Lead small to medium-sized projects and coordinate with team members

Required Qualifications
Technical Skills

• Experience: 4-6 years of professional software development experience
• Core Java: Strong proficiency in Java 8+ features (Streams, Lambda expressions, Optional, etc.)
• Spring Ecosystem:
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot 2.x/3.x
• Spring Core (IoC, DI, AOP)
• Spring MVC/REST
• Spring Data JPA/Hibernate
• Spring Security with OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect
• Spring Authorization Server
• Spring Cloud (preferred)
• Security & Authentication:
• OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect implementation
• JWT token management and validation
• Resource server and authorization server configuration
• Experience with OAuth 2.0 grant types (Authorization Code, Client Credentials, Implicit, PKCE)
• API security best practices
• Database Technologies:
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
• Experience with NoSQL databases (Elastic) is a plus
• API Development: RESTful API design principles, OpenAPI/Swagger documentation
• Testing: JUnit, Mockito, Integration testing, Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Build Tools: Maven or Gradle
• Version Control: Git, GitFlow workflow

• Hands-on experience with OAuth 2.0 providers (Keycloak, Auth0, Okta, AWS Cognito)
• Experience implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions
• Experience with API Gateway security patterns (Kong, Zuul, Spring Cloud Gateway)
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
