We are seeking a passionate and driven R&D Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in mechanical design principles and hands-on experience with prototyping and manufacturing processes. This internship offers a great opportunity to work on innovative products like insoles, cushions, supports, braces, and mobility aids while gaining real-world experience in product development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the R&D team in designing and prototyping mechanical products.
  • Collaborate with vendors and fabricators for prototype development and troubleshooting.
  • Visit vendors and manufacturers to oversee product development stages.
  • Document and analyze test results, design changes, and product performance feedback.
  • Support daily operations and contribute to the continuous improvement of R&D processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles.
  • Knowledge of Strength of Materials (SOM) and Theory of Machines (TOM).
  • Exposure to manufacturing processes such as injection moulding, sheet metal, 3D printing, and machining.
  • Proficiency with CAD software like SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA, or similar.
  • Basic knowledge of prototyping and testing procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Participation in college-level design or engineering competitions (e.g., BAJA SAE, SUPRA SAE, Formula Student).
  • Experience in end-to-end product development from concept to prototype or manufacturing, especially in mechanical or consumer products.
