Global Business Services delivers Technology and Operations capabilities to Lines of Business and Staff Support Functions of Bank of America through a centrally managed, globally integrated delivery model and globally resilient operations.

In India, we are present in five locations and operate as BA Continuum India Private Limited (BACI), a non-banking subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation and the operating company for India operations of Global Business Services.

Process Overview

The Risk Function Technology (RFT) organization is responsible for the management and delivery of technology for the banks enterprise control functions. We also manage GT&Os business operations, business process and controls, workforce management, Simplify & Improve (SIM) governance, and initiative and master planning processes.

Climate Risk is the risk that climate change exposes the Bank to adverse impacts on its reputation, profitability or operations. Given the organization-wide implication of Climate Risk, the Climate Risk Data Platform project started in 2021 as a data warehouse application with primary focus on building an ADS for Climate Risk. Since then, the project scope has increased and weve built multiple front-end applications for different climate functions like Target Management (its the only application in ERFT space accessed by Bankers), Climate Data Capture, Financed Emissions and Climate Data Marketplace.

We have a requirement for a lead developer with strong, hands-on experience and strong expertise in Web Application development using Angular JS, advanced HTML (HTML5), Java scripting and CSS3. They should come with strong technical skills and be able to guide junior developers in the team. They should have excellent communication and analytical skills, be conversant with JIRA tools and have sound experience working in AGILE teams.

Resource to design, develop, maintain and test software, collaborating with the development team and business partners to ensure successful delivery and implementation of application solutions in an agile environment. Should be adept at picking up in-house frameworks and deliver against stringent timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead UI developer / technical lead.
• Work on design and develop scalable solutions using efficient Design Patterns.
• Adept in handling the Non-functional requirements (performance, throughput, SLA etc.)
• Excellent aesthetic capability with UX designing and development experience.
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
• Have a good understanding of all aspects of the application like rendering huge datasets, fetching data using HTTP and authentication.
• Identify improvement areas within the application and work to implement the same.
• Flexibility in adapting to team requirements.
• Ensuring high quality levels in all deliverables.
• Collaborate efficiently with UX designers as well as all stakeholders.
• Participate in mandatory training and cross functions across team.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and zeal to acquire domain knowledge.
• Work efficiently in matrix organization, with India and USA leadership.
• Actively involved in process improvements and automations.
• Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, supports, maintain and tests code.
• Collaborate with the stakeholders to deliver software applications.
• Communicate with business and technical partners and come up with solutions.
• Be a key contributor to initiatives that require technical expertise.
• Provide innovative solutions to problems and drive the design/development of components.
• Effectively deal with multiple deadline-driven tasks and customers.

Requirements

• Education: B.E. / B. Tech/M.E. /M. Tech/B.Sc./M.Sc./BCA/MCA (prefer IT/CS specialization)
• Certifications if any: NA
• Experience Range: 8-10 years

Foundational skills*

• Angular 16 or above, HTML5, Javascript, CSS3
• Expert in Angular and front end technologies who can lead delivery from India with the help of India team.
• Strong understanding of Design Patterns
• Good with Ag-Grid, HighchartJS, NgRx,
• Familiar with any version control tool
• Experienced in technical design with a strong data background/track record of working in a high performance environment
• Participates in design, development review and implementation of architectural deliverables, to include components of the assessment and optimization of system design and review of user requirements
• Strong data analysis skills and communication with ability to present the findings to Business users
• Provide technical guidance to development team
• Minimum years of working experience within a technology development environment.

Desired skills

• Knowledge of banking domain preferably Global Markets, Financial Risk, Treasury etc.
• Agile best practices
• Knowledge of React JS to migrate React project to Angular
