About the Role

We're looking for an AI-driven Research Analyst who thrives on uncovering complex information using both human reasoning and machine assistance. This role combines investigative research, legal analysis, and AI-prompt engineering to identify, structure, and interpret data across multiple sources — from court filings and public records to news archives and law-enforcement releases.

The ideal candidate enjoys reverse-engineering problems, building structured research pipelines, and using AI models or scripts to accelerate discovery, verification, and synthesis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze real-world cases involving crime, law enforcement, or public records.
  • Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or custom LLM scripts) to automate summarization, clustering, and keyword extraction.
  • Design optimized prompts and workflows for fact-finding, document analysis, and source cross-verification.
  • Build or maintain structured research datasets (Google Sheets, CSVs, JSONs, or Airtable formats).
  • Integrate open-source tools, APIs, or Python scripts for scraping, classification, or trend detection (no heavy coding required, but strong technical curiosity essential).
  • Identify storytelling potential in raw data through analytical and contextual reasoning.
  • Track ongoing developments in selected cases and provide concise, data-backed updates.
  • Collaborate with editors and producers to convert verified data into narrative-ready briefs.

Preferred Backgrounds

  • Experience or education in computer science, data analysis, AI, law, journalism, or criminology.
  • Proficiency in AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude) and prompt-based task automation.
  • Basic to intermediate familiarity with Python, APIs, web scraping, or data structuring.
  • Strong research, verification, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written English and the ability to produce structured, accurate briefs.
  • Interest in true-crime, investigative journalism, or legal systems.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with LLMs for research or document processing.
  • Prior exposure to FOIA-style data retrieval or transparency-portal research.
  • Understanding of NLP, vector search, or database querying (advantage, not requirement).

Location

Faridabad (preferred). Candidates from Delhi NCR must be willing to commute.
