About the Role

HOOQX is seeking a dynamic and skilled Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology strategy and oversee the development of innovative web solutions. The ideal candidate must have 2–3 years of experience in a similar leadership profile and strong technical expertise as a Senior Web Developer. The CTO will play a key role in managing the tech team, ensuring timely project delivery, and driving the company's digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the company's technology strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the technical/development team.
  • Oversee end-to-end development of web platforms and digital solutions.
  • Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of technology infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to plan, prioritize, and deliver projects on time.
  • Keep up with emerging technologies and suggest improvements.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain code quality and system architecture.

Required Technical Skills

  • Front-End Development: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), Bootstrap,
  • Back-End Development: PHP, ,
  • Database Management: MySQL, MongoDB.
  • Content Management Systems: WordPress (custom themes & plugins).
  • Version Control: Git/GitHub.
  • Frameworks & Tools: REST APIs, AJAX, jQuery.
  • UI/UX Knowledge: Understanding of responsive design, user flows, and wireframing.
  • Server & Hosting: Knowledge of cPanel, web hosting, and deployment.
  • Strong debugging, optimization, and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • Proven experience of 2–3 years in a CTO or Senior Web Developer leadership role.
  • Strong project and team management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
  • Must be from Howrah or Hooghly districts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred).
  • Relevant certifications will be an added advantage.

Salary

  • Competitive salary package (based on experience and interview performance).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15, ₹25,000.00 per month
