Responsibilities and duties

  • Supervision and quality control: Monitor and ensure the correct installation and quality of mechanical works according to approved plans, specifications, and codes.
  • Technical interpretation: Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and documents for the project team and construction workers.
  • Resource management: Estimate resource needs, manage mechanical work groups, and assist project managers in meeting project goals.
  • Problem-solving: Identify and resolve mechanical issues, design deficiencies, installation errors, or equipment malfunctions as they arise on the construction site.
  • Safety and compliance: Ensure all mechanical activities comply with project specifications, health, safety, and environmental regulations, and client requirements.
  • Documentation and reporting: Maintain project documentation, including mechanical drawings, specifications, and testing records. Provide progress reports to project managers.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and contractors to develop and implement effective project plans and schedules. Assist with the procurement of mechanical equipment.
  • Inspections: Conduct periodic inspections of mechanical installations and equipment to ensure they are installed and functioning correctly.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in mechanical system design, installation, and site activities for Hydro power projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical drawings, project specifications, and relevant codes.
  • Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD software is often required.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills are essential.
  • Minimum Experience required 5 Years.
