Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Machine Learning Engineer with hands-on experience in solving constrained price optimization problems using Python-based mathematical optimization libraries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applied mathematics, operations research, and machine learning, with the ability to build and deploy scalable pricing models that align with business objectives and constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize price optimization models under constraints using libraries such as SciPy (e.g., minimize()), Pyomo, or CVXOPT.
  • Translate business pricing problems into formal mathematical optimization models.
  • Work closely with product, data, and business teams to define pricing objectives and constraints.
  • Analyze optimization outputs and present actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Ensure models are scalable, interpretable, and integrate smoothly with production pipelines.
  • Monitor and refine deployed models to adapt to changing business dynamics.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Strong experience with constrained optimization problems, particularly in price optimization.
  • Proficiency in Python and libraries such as:

  • Pyomo
  • CVXOPT
  • Solid understanding of linear, non-linear, and integer programming techniques.
  • Experience working with real-world datasets and implementing production-ready models.
  • Good knowledge of numerical methods and convex optimization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or related fields.
  • Experience in deploying models using tools like Docker, FastAPI, or cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Familiarity with pricing strategies in domains like retail, e-commerce, or transportation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical teams.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
