Job Description - Senior Accountant

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Kachiguda, Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will bring 6+ years of hands-on experience in Accounting, with strong expertise in Accounts Payable (AP), Export Oriented Unit (EOU) operations, Tally ERP, GST, and TDS compliance. Experience working with Audit (CA/CS) Firms will be an added advantage. This role requires a seasoned professional who can independently manage accounting functions, lead compliance activities, and support audits while ensuring full adherence to financial and statutory regulations.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable (AP) Management

• Oversee end-to-end AP activities, including invoice verification, approvals, vendor management, and payment processing.
• Monitor outstanding payables, prepare AP aging reports, and ensure timely vendor settlements.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

EOU (Export Oriented Unit) Compliance

• Manage EOU-related financial documentation, statutory records, and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams and government authorities for EOU-specific procedures, including bond management, LUT, and export documentation.
• Ensure adherence to customs, GST refund processes, and EOU regulations.

Tally Accounting

• Manage daily accounting operations using Tally ERP.
• Prepare and review journal entries, ledgers, trial balances, and financial statements.
• Conduct periodic reconciliations (bank, vendor, inter-company, ledger).

GST Compliance

• Review and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.) accurately and on time.
• Ensure correct Input Tax Credit (ITC) utilization and maintain working papers.
• Handle GST audits, notices, and query resolutions.

TDS Management

• Calculate, deduct, and deposit TDS as per statutory requirements.
• Prepare and file quarterly and annual TDS returns.
• Reconcile TDS with Form 26AS and address discrepancies proactively.

Accounting & Taxation

• Prepare and finalize periodic financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Support statutory, internal, and tax audits with complete documentation.
• Assist in income tax computations, assessments, and related compliances.

Audit Support

• Collaborate with internal and external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits.
• Provide necessary reports, schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Implement audit recommendations and strengthen internal controls.

General Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
• Stay updated with the latest accounting standards, GST/TDS rules, and industry practices.

Required Skills & QualificationsEducational Qualification

• Bachelors degree in Commerce (B.Com) or related field.
• Preference for candidates pursuing CA Inter / CS Inter or similar professional certifications.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Tally ERP (mandatory).
• Strong expertise in Accounts Payable, EOU compliance, GST, TDS, and Income Tax.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel and other MS Office tools.

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in Accounting & Finance roles.
• Strong experience in AP operations and EOU processes is essential.
• Experience in an Audit Firm (CA/CS) is preferred.
