JOB DESCRIPTION – SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

 Kondapur (Hyderabad)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, overseeing accounts operations, preparing financial reports, and supporting management in strategic financial planning. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple financial activities independently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Maintain and update general ledgers, journals, and financial records.
  • Ensure proper documentation, posting of entries, and monthly closure of books.
  • Handle accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations, and vendor payments.

2. Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Prepare cash flow statements, P&L analysis, and balance sheets.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

3. Compliance & Audits

  • Ensure adherence to statutory compliance including GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Income Tax and other regulatory norms.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for periodic and annual audits.
  • Maintain proper compliance documentation and file returns on time.

4. Inventory, Costing & MIS

  • Monitor inventory control, costing of products/projects, and valuation of stock.
  • Prepare MIS reports, sales analysis, and profitability reports.
  • Support management with data insights for business decisions.

5. Banking & Treasury

  • Manage bank reconciliation, loan documentation, LC/OD/CC accounts.
  • Follow up on receivables and ensure healthy cash flow.

6. Process Improvement

  • Standardize and improve accounting procedures and internal controls.
  • Implement automation and ensure accuracy in accounting software (Tally / ERP / SAP).

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IND-AS / GAAP).
  • Command over GST, Income Tax, TDS, and statutory compliances.
  • Expertise in Tally / ERP / SAP.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight timelines.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; CA/Inter/ICWA preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • 4–8 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing / trading setup.
