Job Role:
Linux Device Driver Engineer

Experience:

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain
    Linux device drivers
    (USB, SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, etc.).
  • Customize and optimize
    Board Support Packages (BSPs)
    for new hardware platforms.
  • Support
    board bring-up
    and perform initial hardware validation.
  • Analyze
    schematics
    and debug hardware–software integration issues using
    JTAG, GDB, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
    .
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including
    hardware, software, and QA
    .
  • Optimize
    driver performance
    and ensure overall
    system stability
    .
  • Work with
    Yocto, Buildroot, U-Boot
    , and other tools to build and maintain embedded Linux distributions.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in
    Linux BSP or Device driver
    development.
  • Strong proficiency in C programming with solid knowledge of
    Linux
    kernel internals.
  • Experience with ARM or RISC-V architectures.
  • Proficiency in Yocto, Buildroot, and embedded Linux build systems.
  • Strong understanding of Git and version control workflows.
  • Ability to read and interpret hardware schematics.
  • Hands-on experience with low-level debugging tools (JTAG, GDB, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
