6 Months (Full Time Equivalent Model)

Work Mode:

• Mandatory 15 days onsite training at Pondicherry office after that WFH (Accommodation provided)

• Post training: Remote work via secured Remote Desktop

Role Description

This is a contract-based hybrid role for a
3B2 Paginator
, based in Puducherry with partial remote work post training. The role involves end-to-end XML-based pagination and composition using 3B2, including template development, automation, and high-quality page layout for journals and books. You will work closely with production, QA, and editorial teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities & 3B2 Skills:

• End-to-end pagination and composition using
  3B2
  for journals and books
• Design and manage
  3B2 templates, macros, and scripts
• Analyze customer specifications and convert them into automated 3B2 workflows
• Strong hands-on experience with
  XPath, Namespaces, MathML
• Proficiency in
  JavaScript and Formatting Object Model (FOM)
• Ability to develop
  fully automated templates for new DTDs from scratch
• Create test cases and test data for all layout and workflow scenarios
• Ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to STM publishing standards

Qualifications:

• 3–4 years of hands-on experience in
  3B2 pagination and automation
• Strong understanding of
  layout design, page composition, and XML-first workflows
• Experience in
  journal and book production environments
• Familiarity with
  DTD/Schema, JATS, MathML, complex tables, and equations
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to meet tight production deadlines
