Job Title: Trainer (Electrician)

Location: All Districts of Tamil Nadu

Job Description:

The Trainer – Electrician will be responsible for delivering high-quality training in the trade of electrician skills under skill development programs, ensuring trainees gain both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise. The role requires strong domain knowledge, hands-on experience, and the ability to engage learners effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct classroom and practical training sessions as per prescribed curriculum and guidelines.
• Demonstrate safe and efficient use of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Assess trainees through assignments, practical tests, and evaluations.
• Maintain training records, attendance, and progress reports of trainees.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during practical sessions.
• Provide career guidance and counseling to trainees.
• Coordinate with industry experts for guest lectures, exposure visits, and placement support.
• Continuously upgrade knowledge and skills as per industry trends and standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical or related field (mandatory).
• Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred but not mandatory).

Experience:

• Minimum 2–5 years of industry experience in the electrical domain.
• Prior experience in training/teaching is desirable.

Certifications (if applicable):

• TOT (Training of Trainers) certification from relevant Sector Skill Council preferred.
• Valid electrical license will be an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical knowledge in electrical systems, wiring, safety practices, and equipment handling.
• Ability to deliver engaging and effective training to diverse learners.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, adaptability, and mentoring approach.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Training completion rate and trainee performance in assessments.
• Feedback and satisfaction scores from trainees.
• Compliance with curriculum delivery timelines.
• Placement or progression outcomes of trained candidates.

Other Requirements:

• Flexible to travel to other locations in Tamil Nadu.

Salary:

• As per industry standards.
