Role Overview

CustomFurnish is redefining how modular furniture is designed and manufactured in India.

Were looking for a Product Evangelist who bridges product knowledge and sales persuasion someone who can educate customers, train the sales team, and drive adoption of engineered materials by changing perceptions through technical understanding and storytelling.

This is not a conventional showroom sales role. It's a sales–product hybrid position for someone who loves materials, knows how to communicate their strengths, and can build conviction through demos, comparisons, and design reasoning.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Education & Sales Conversion

  • Engage directly with customers to explain material differences — MDF, HDHMR, pre-laminated boards, plywood, veneers, etc.
  • Handle objections confidently: address misconceptions about durability, water resistance, longevity, and finish quality.
  • Use physical samples and case studies to demonstrate why engineered materials are better suited for modular furniture.
  • Convert MDF-skeptical customers through trust, transparency, and technical evidence.
  • Work with the showroom and design team to ensure consistent product messaging and positioning.

Sales Support & Training

  • Conduct weekly training sessions for sales designers and showroom staff on:

  • How to position MDF and other engineered boards.

  • How to handle objections during customer interactions.

  • Key talking points, comparison scripts, and visual aids.

  • Assist the sales team in closing deals for premium or hesitant clients.

  • Track and report MDF adoption rates and conversion improvements.

Product & Market Intelligence

  • Stay updated on furniture materials, finishes, and innovations in the Indian market (Greenpanel, Action Tesa, Century, Merino, etc.).
  • Identify new high-quality material vendors and benchmark them on performance, price, and warranty.
  • Build a material comparison repository
  • Provide feedback to the factory and design teams on customer preferences

Design Alignment

  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure product options are practical, affordable, and aligned with customer taste and expectations.
  • Help link design choices to material performance (e.g., "this finish works best with prelam MDF due to surface quality").
