Production Supervisor

Job Purpose:

• To ensure un-interrupted operations of Manufacturing, logistics, MIS, and accounting.

Process

Detailed Activity

Raw Materials& packaging Material

• Indent for raw material including packing material well in advance as per the production plan for the month.
• Receive raw materials& accounting for the same.
• Maintain stocks of both raw materials and finished goods

Production , Planning and Control

• After getting Purchase order , plan a schedule of production, get the approval from superior for implementation.
• Any changes in the schedule to be discussed with superior before making any changes.
• Check the availability of raw material for meeting production schedules.
• Follow up with production to meet delivery schedules.
• Make the order ready as per PO for dispatch in terms of all SKUs for various locations.

Maintenance

• Ensure that all the machines are in good working conditions.
• Ensure that the machines are subjected to Preventive maintenance with regular maintenance schedules.

Finished goods &Dispatches

( logistics)

• Plan for the delivery using company vehicle or courier, as appropriate.
• Confirm the delivery dates, quantity & time to sales team.
• Consolidation of sales / dispatches on monthly basis and submit to account for reconciliation of stocks.
• Communication with vendors.
• Trouble shooting and closure of any sales / Distributor issues.
• Handling the return stocks and accounting the same.

Accounting

• Inform accounts for preparing invoices before dispatch of material.
• Reconciliation of any collections / advances received / given with accounts

Management Information System

• Prepare appropriate reports on monthly basis like opening stock of raw materials, finished stocks, production done in the month, stocks dispatched, stocks left over etc.
• Submit the data to superior with reasons of deviations in the data, if any.

Manpower

• Handle manpower for attendance, any conflicts, etc.
• Optimum utilization of manpower for best outputs.
• Seek support of local HR for any serious issues.
