Responsibilities

  • Ability to plan and execute the software system integration and test activities, reviewing requirements specifications for testability, leveraging use cases in support of test case development, planning and executing improvements to the test environment and infrastructure.
  • Develop a comprehensive set of manual tests, tracing tests to requirements to ensure complete test coverage.
  • Develop test scripts to enhance manual test cases.
  • Identify and diagnose software and firmware defects, verifying software and firmware correctness, and reporting results.
  • Develop edge case and adversarial test cases to ensure product robustness and reliability under extreme or unexpected conditions.
  • Develop test plans, procedures, descriptions, and reports for delivery to internal stakeholders including the project manager and technical lead.
  • Assess risk associated with the efforts and develop and execute risk mitigation plans.
  • Apply knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines, as well as in-depth knowledge of assigned product or technology area in guiding the direction of software test efforts.
  • Regularly prepare, present, and defend project technical results and recommendations to external customers and internal high-level management.
  • Ability to translate Product level specs into work scope.
