Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Backend Developer with 3 years of professional experience to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for developing robust, scalable, and high-performance backend services and APIs that power our platform. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in , a solid understanding of SQL databases, and is eager to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • API Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality RESTful APIs using and frameworks like
  • Database Management: Work with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) including schema design, optimization, and writing complex queries.
  • System Architecture: Collaborate with frontend developers and other stakeholders to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Testing and Quality: Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code. Implement unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and system reliability.
  • Maintenance and Optimization: Troubleshoot and debug production issues, and optimize existing systems for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Code Review: Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality standards and share knowledge within the team.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in backend development using
  • Expertise: Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and hands-on experience with and common libraries/frameworks.
  • SQL Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of relational databases, including schema design, data modeling, and advanced SQL querying (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Version Control: Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commitment to producing quality code.

Good to Have (Preferred Qualifications & Skills)

  • NestJS: Prior experience with the NestJS framework is a significant plus.
  • NoSQL Databases: Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis) and when to use them versus SQL solutions.
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Containerization: Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
