Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Food Production Manager to oversee and manage the processes along with quality control in our pet food and edibles manufacturing facility. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all raw materials and finished products meet the required safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The role involves close coordination with the procurement and production teams, development and implementation of quality standards such as HACCP and ISO, and continuous monitoring to maintain consistent product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Control & Assurance:
  • Inspect and test raw materials and ingredients to ensure they meet defined quality specifications.
  • Oversee in-process and final product inspections to maintain product quality.
  • Investigate and resolve quality complaints and non-conformance issues.

  • Supplier & Ingredient Management:
  • Coordinate with the procurement and production teams to ensure consistent sourcing of approved ingredients and suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain ingredient and supplier specifications and quality standards.

  • Documentation & Compliance:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HACCP plans and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
  • Prepare and update quality manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), ISO documentation, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all quality checks, audits, and certifications.

  • Internal Audits & Training:
  • Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Provide training to production and quality staff on quality assurance practices, food safety standards, and hygiene protocols.

  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify areas for improvement in the production and quality processes.
  • Recommend and implement corrective and preventive measures to improve overall product quality.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with production, procurement, maintenance, and warehouse teams to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Liaise with external auditors, certification bodies, and regulatory authorities as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (typically 2+ years) in a quality management role in the food processing or pet food industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSAI, GMP, and other relevant food safety standards.
  • Strong understanding of ingredient sourcing, inspection, and quality testing methods.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35, ₹45,000.00 per month
