About the role

System Engineering Manager

You will be responsible for

Specialise on Bigdata Systems Engineering area.

Focus on all work being high quality as a priority to avoid rework and ensure delivery is right first time

Building systems and components to meet the delivery need for the team. I follow established practices and guidance using the latest tools and techniques.

Operate existing area and resolve issues with the help of engineers using existing procedures, my knowledge and the knowledge of those around me.

Will have a range of technical understanding of the skills (for each area) including:

Compute Platforms - Windows, Linux, Virtualisation, Public & Private cloud

Database - Oracle, SQL administration, No SQL databases

General skill - DevOps tools, Scripting, Version control, Monitoring & Alerting

Knowledge on AI and related components

Understanding of agile ways of working

Collaborate with end users and other engineering teams and create templates for onboarding.

Keep my technical knowledge up to date and keep track of new technologies

Implement changes successfully and aware of the change management processes

Understanding of networks, operating systems and databases
