What does a Prompt Engineer do at Hogarth?

Prompt engineering iteratively tailors verbal and visual descriptions in serial and parallel combinations to work with AI models constructed

by VFX Pipeline. This role works closely with Python developers to define procedural specifications to instance the prompts in combinations that

best fit the context.

Proceduralism relies on broken down published components, logical structures and parameters to construct content at scale with code

rather than manual effort. Procedural Supervisors will be responsible for overseeing the creation and development of these conventions.

Prompt engineers help embed AI tools into the creative pipeline and build prompt libraries that align with real-world project needs,

enhancing how Hogarth delivers content at scale for WPP clients. This role reports to ROLE and will work closely with all our global CGI/VFX

teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain prompt libraries tailored for visual storytelling, live production briefs, concept art, editorial workflows, and

content ideation.

• Collaborate with creative and technical stakeholders across global Pipe/CGI/VFX teams to integrate generative AI into production

pipelines.

• Experiment, document, and optimize prompts to ensure consistent, brand-safe, and high-quality outputs from AI tools.

Requirements

• Excellent English language skills, with the ability to creatively and descriptively structure alternative prompt variables.
• Excellent written communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate creative needs into structured, effective AI

prompts.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment, collaborating with both creative and technical teams.

• Cloud Infrastructure: Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and distributed computing and its application in scalable rendering, devops

and storage options

• Performance Optimisation: Understanding how to optimise render times, memory usage, and data transfer.
• Collaboration and Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with different teams, document tools for technical and

non-technical audiences from VFX artists to production supervisors and IT departments.

• Time management, problem solving and troubleshooting. The ability to identify and address technical issues that may arise during VFX

production is critical to maintain project timelines and deliver high-quality results.
