Responsibilities

  1. Designing of on-grid/off-grid/hybrid solar PV system and solar water heating systems for ground, rooftop and/or remote locations.
  2. Responsible for conducting site surveys for capacity analysis, shadow analysis and plant designing in AutoCAD and google Sketchup or as required.
  3. Sizing of AC/DC/network cables, calculation of earthing, PV system reports, string configurations and other design related to balance of systems.
  4. Understanding tender technical specifications and adherence to design guidelines.
  5. Preparing required system layouts, single line diagrams, 2D/3D project modelling, structure fabrication drawings.
  6. Estimating plant performance and losses using PVSyst and/or other available tools and preparation of monthly/weekly MIS reports of plant performance as feedback for design and engineering improvement and better O&M.
  7. Preparation of detailed bill of material and/or required RFQ for purchase and estimation of project costing for MIS.
  8. Coordination with all stakeholders for any design, bill of material or costing modifications and changes.
  9. Review of products available in the market for constant change and updation for optimization of bill of material.
  10. 10.Ensuring complete documentation, accountability and customer satisfaction of undertaken jobs.

Qualifications

  1. Graduate with bachelor's degree/diploma in engineering from a recognized university/college.
  2. Knowledge of google Sketchup, PVSyst, AutoCAD. Strong hand in AutoCAD.
  3. Knowledge of MS Office (Word & Excel) and language fluency in Hindi and English.
  4. Deep knowledge of solar design fundamentals including site layout & plans, single-
  5. line electrical drawings, specification of BOS & locations, interconnection details,
  6. and labelling, structural design.
  7. Industry experience of 0-1 years for draftsman and 2-3 years design engineer role
  8. Analytical mind with eagerness to learn, innovate and think out of box.
  9. Proven track record of self-motivation and dedication to work independently and as a part of a team.
  10. Ability to multitask, handle multiple requests, work effectively within a team towards common goals and ability to organize own work to meet demanding deadlines.
