GIS Developer

Talent Worx is on the lookout for a skilled GIS Developer who is passionate about geospatial technologies and eager to make a significant impact through innovative mapping solutions. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain GIS applications, ensuring that data visualization and analysis meet client needs effectively.

• Location- Bangalore, Coimbatore, Delhi NCR, Mumbai

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain GIS applications using industry-standard technologies and tools.
• Implement spatial data models and integrate geospatial data from various sources.
• Utilize GIS APIs and libraries (like ArcGIS, QGIS, or Leaflet) to create interactive maps and visualizations.
• Perform spatial analysis and support data analysis projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and align GIS solutions with business objectives.
• Optimize GIS database performance and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Provide support and training to colleagues on GIS tools and applications.
• Stay current with geospatial technologies and best practices in GIS development.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in GIS software and tools (ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.).
• Experience with GIS programming languages (Python, JavaScript, or similar).
• Familiarity with spatial databases (PostGIS, Spatialite) and query languages.
• Knowledge of web mapping technologies (Leaflet, OpenLayers, or Google Maps API).
• Strong understanding of geospatial data formats (Shapefiles, GeoJSON, KML, etc.).
• Experience with data visualization tools is a plus.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Geographical Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in GIS development or a related role.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
