Role Overview

We are seeking a
Senior QA Engineer
 with strong expertise in both
manual testing and automation
 to ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and high-performing digital commerce platforms. The role involves designing QA processes, executing test strategies, and building automation frameworks to validate enterprise-grade Shopify Plus implementations, SaaS products (APPBiT, Report Desk AI, BiFIX, etc.), and mobile applications.

This is a
hands-on, leadership-oriented role
 where you will define Binary's QA standards, work closely with developers, project managers, and clients, and mentor junior QA team members.

Key Responsibilities

· Test Planning & Strategy

o Define QA strategy, test plans, and acceptance criteria for web, mobile, and API projects.

o Develop and maintain
comprehensive regression and UAT checklists
 for eCommerce flows (checkout, cart, payments, shipping, ERP sync).

· Manual QA

o Conduct functional, regression, integration, cross-browser, and cross-device testing.

o Validate Shopify customizations, SaaS workflows, and third-party integrations (payment gateways, ERP, OMS, CRM).

o Ensure bug-free releases with structured reporting on Jira/Zoho Projects.

· Automation QA

o Set up and maintain
automation frameworks
 (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent).

o Automate core test cases for
checkout, login, payments, order sync, API validation
.

o Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines.

· Quality Governance

o Define and enforce QA processes across all projects.

o Establish
sign-off protocols
 before client delivery.

o Create dashboards for test coverage, defect density, and release readiness.

· Collaboration & Mentoring

o Work closely with developers, designers, and project managers to reproduce and resolve issues.

o Mentor QA testers and guide them on structured test execution.

o Assist clients during UAT by providing clear bug reproduction steps and test evidence.

Required Skills & Experience

· 5+ years of QA experience
 (at least 2 years in automation).

· Strong manual testing expertise in
eCommerce, SaaS, or enterprise applications
.

· Hands-on experience with automation tools:
Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Postman (API testing)
.

· Experience in
cross-browser/cross-device testing
 (Chrome, Safari, iOS, Android, etc.).

· Knowledge of
CI/CD integration
 (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).

· Proficiency in
bug tracking/project management tools
 (Jira, Zoho Projects, Trello).

· Familiarity with
performance/security testing tools
 is a plus (JMeter, OWASP ZAP).

· Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Domain Knowledge

· Shopify/Shopify Plus platforms.

· ERP/OMS/WMS/API integrations.

· SaaS product workflows.

· Mobile app (iOS/Android) testing
