Job Title: Support Engineer Azure Databricks

Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Support Engineer to provide technical assistance for Azure Databricks, ensuring customers can efficiently manage and optimize their big data and analytics solutions. This role requires problem-solving expertise, deep technical knowledge, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Azure Databricks and its associated big data services.

• Provide performance tuning, configuration guidance, and issue resolution for Spark, Data Lake, and cloud streaming technologies.

• Collaborate with internal teams to diagnose and address complex technical challenges.

• Escalate critical issues and advocate for product improvements based on customer feedback.

• Stay current with big data technologies, open-source ecosystems, and cloud computing advancements.

• Educate users on best practices for data engineering and analytics workflows.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in technical support, consulting, or IT-related fields, OR

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline, plus 1+ year of relevant technical experience.

• Hands-on expertise in big data and analytics platforms, including:

o Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory

o Spark, Azure data lake storage, Delta tables

o Cloud streaming technologies

• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or R for data engineering and debugging.

• Familiarity with Linux and Open Source Ecosystems (Apache, etc.).

• Strong experience in technical/customer support, consulting, or software engineering.

Preferred Skills:

• Foundational knowledge of Azure and Azure Databricks for managing workloads.

• Understanding of networking concepts, including:

o Testing connectivity, DNS resolution, Virtual Networks, Peering, and Private Endpoints.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills for engaging with customers and cross-functional teams.Role & responsibilities
