• Design, develop, and improve the digital products and technology services we provide to our clients and employees
• Apply a broad range of software engineering techniques, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing, CI/CD and other DevOps practices
• Ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements
• Build observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues
• Learn new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind
• Work in an agile way as part of multi-disciplinary teams, participate in agile ceremonies, and collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and others
• Understand, represent, and advocate for client needs
• Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, help with hiring, and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities
• Act as people and development manager to engineers in Client Platforms crew, be a mentor supporting growth and career progression and ensure high standards are applied across the organization
• Support and enable the chapter with new / emerging practices, learning opportunities and capability building
• Connect chapters to the wider UBS community of guilds, engage as thought and action leader beyond the borders of the crew
• Work with Crew Leads and Agile coaches to understand and resolve challenges, opportunities and areas of collaboration
• Support the broader strategy and goals of their organization to ensure chapter members are equipped to understand in their context

Your team

You'll be working in the Global Wealth Management team in Pune with teams across US, India and Poland for the crew Corporate Institutional Advisory Solutions.

We provide innovative digital solutions and this benefits UBS to support employees and Business Units for client company for all of their equity and wealth management supports. As a Software Engineer, you'll play an important role in building a new digital platform for our Organization.

In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. This is a great opportunity to be a part of cross skilled team (s) and you will have endless opportunities to learn and grow in the organization.

Your expertise

• Bachelor's degree in either Science, Information Technology, Mathematics with 10+ years of experience
• Demonstrable 5+ years of leadership experience in building and leading client facing portals (web and/or mobile)
• Leadership expertise in creating and executing technology strategy
• Leadership expertise in building applications in cloud and hybrid models
• Strong knowledge of building and managing applications in Java based large enterprise environment.

OR

Strong knowledge of building and managing one of the UI frameworks such as React, Vue or Angular

• Strong analytical, problem solving, debugging skills.
• Deep leadership expertise who can hire and scale an engineering team
• Has managed at least one scrum team for a minimum of 2 years in experience history
• Have been a technical manager comfortable doing code reviews
