Job Description:

Castal Dies and Tools is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering with at least 2 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in a toolroom or die/mould manufacturing environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect incoming, in-process, and final components as per technical drawings and quality standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Prepare and maintain quality documentation such as inspection reports, control plans, and calibration records.
  • Coordinate with production and toolroom teams to resolve quality concerns.
  • Monitor and improve quality control processes for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO/quality standards in manufacturing processes.
  • Operate and understand basic measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.).
  • Requirements:Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in quality control/quality assurance.
  • Preferred experience in toolroom operations, dies & moulds.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Familiarity with quality standards and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred Skills:Experience in die/mould/tooling industry.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar QMS.
  • Use of advanced measurement tools and techniques.
