Job Title: Sr Account Manager

Location: Bengaluru, India

Reports To: CEO

Role Overview:

The Sr Account Manager will oversee the financial strategy and operations of Padukone School of Badminton with complete ownership of the P&L from a cost governance and profitability standpoint. This role will ensure strong fiscal discipline, effective cost controls, and financial compliance, while enabling data-driven decision-making to support the school's mission and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. P&L Ownership & Cost Governance

Take full accountability for the organisation's P&L with a primary focus on cost control, margin protection, and expenditure optimisation.

Establish and monitor cost governance frameworks across all centres and departments.

Track and control operational expenses to ensure alignment with budgets and financial targets.

  1. Financial Planning & Analysis

Lead annual budgeting, cost forecasting, and variance analysis.

Provide clear, actionable insights on expense trends and cost-efficiency opportunities.

Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.

  1. Accounting & Compliance

Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.

Ensure compliance with Indian GAAP, GST, TDS, Income Tax, and all statutory requirements.

Manage statutory audits, internal control processes, and risk mitigation.

  1. Strategic Business Support

Partner with the CEO and COO to assess financial viability of new initiatives and operational changes.

Recommend process improvements and systems to improve cost efficiency.

Support funding and partnership discussions with clear cost and profitability analysis.

  1. Leadership & Team Development

Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure high-quality outputs.

Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and cost consciousness across the organisation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce; CA/ICWA/MBA (Finance) preferred.

5–7 years of experience in finance leadership roles, with proven expertise in cost governance and P&L management.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and implement cost optimisation strategies.

Proficiency in Tally and Excel; ERP experience is a plus.

Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
