Summary:

General Mills is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Vendor Management System (VMS) Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the optimal performance of our VMS, Workday VNDLY, by providing system support, insightful data analysis, and collaborative stakeholder engagement to drive continuous improvement in our contingent workforce management processes.

Responsibilities:

  • VMS Management & Support:
    • Maintain the VMS, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Manage rate changes through work order updates and new job requisition creation.
  • Support configuration testing and updates in the test environment.
  • Manage vendor distribution lists within the VMS.
  • Escalate complex system issues to the appropriate channels, providing well-researched suggested resolutions.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Analyze VMS data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in vendor performance, spend, and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards (weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.) to provide actionable insights on key metrics such as tenure, supplier compliance, and overall program performance.
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement:
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (procurement, finance, legal, etc.) to align VMS objectives with overall business goals.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to users on VMS functionality and best practices.
  • Facilitate clear communication and knowledge sharing between stakeholders and vendors.
  • Support vendor setup, including financial system integration and VMS access for global locations.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate vendor management processes within the VMS.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve data quality.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies in contingent workforce management.
  • Invoice Support:
    • Provide invoice validation support and resolve payment inquiries.
  • Expedite invoice processing as needed to ensure timely payments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 2+ years of experience working with Vendor Management Systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Workday VNDLY (preferred), Fieldglass, Beeline, or other leading VMS platforms.
  • Knowledge of contingent workforce program management and vendor management best practices.
