Role Overview

As a Freelance WordPress Website Designer, you will work with our internal team to design and develop responsive, visually appealing, and conversion-optimized eCommerce websites. You should be comfortable managing projects independently, meeting deadlines, and maintaining strong communication throughout.

Key Responsibilities


• Design and build responsive websites using WordPress, including WooCommerce eCommerce setups.


• Customize and design layouts using page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg.


• Modify themes to match branding and creative briefs.


• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using tools like Figma or Adobe XD.


• Ensure websites are optimized for speed, mobile responsiveness, and SEO best practices.


• Collaborate remotely with QBE Consulting's team to ensure smooth delivery.


• Manage product pages, categories, cart, and checkout flows for better user experience and conversions.


• Perform updates, backups, and basic troubleshooting as required.

Requirements


• Proven experience designing and developing WordPress websites, including eCommerce websites using WooCommerce (portfolio required).


• Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript/PHP.


• Strong working knowledge of page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, etc.).


• Familiarity with additional platforms (e.g., Shopify, Webflow, Squarespace) is a plus.


• Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles and tools like Figma or Adobe XD.


• Ability to manage multiple freelance projects and deliver on time.


• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.


• Attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing, user-centric designs.
