Experience
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering roles
• 3+ years in a technical leadership position, managing data engineering teams
• Proven track record of building and maintaining production BI/analytics platforms at scale
• Experience with Databricks and Delta Lake in production environments
• Strong background in data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and OLAP/OLTP design
• Demonstrated success in big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop ecosystem, distributed computing) of 2 3 Technical Skills
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL optimization and complex query development
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or Scala
• Deep understanding of ETL/ELT design patterns and data pipeline orchestration
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Proficiency with data engineering tools such as Airflow, dbt, or similar orchestration frameworks
• Experience with real-time streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark Streaming, or equivalent)
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices
• Experience with BI and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar) Leadership & Soft Skills
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive results in fast-paced environments
• Strong problem-solving skills with a bias toward pragmatic, scalable solutions
• Excellent communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• Self-motivated with strong project management and prioritization abilities
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Ability to balance technical excellence with business pragmatism Education
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Engineering, or related quantitative field
• Master's degree preferred but not required with equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications
• Background with SaaS or multi-tenant data architectures
• Familiarity with microservices architectures and event-driven systems
• Experience with DataOps and MLOps practices
• Knowledge of data catalog and metadata management tools
• Certifications in Databricks, AWS, Azure, or relevant technologies
