We're looking for a
seasoned Backend Developer

with a strong track record in
API development

&
Amazon SP-API integration

to join our team. This role is pivotal in shaping the core infrastructure of RootAMZ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing robust API architectures, integrating Amazon Selling Partner APIs & ensuring seamless data synchronisation for inventory & order management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop
    scalable, efficient backend architecture

for high performance eCommerce applications
- Integrate and optimize
Amazon SP

-
API

for seamless data exchange (inventory, orders, pricing, etc.)
- Build and maintain robust
RESTful

&
GraphQL APIs

for front end integration
- Handle API authentication, throttling limits, error handling & token refresh workflows.
- Develop automated processes for syncing stock data across multiple marketplaces accounts.
- Collaborate with frontend developers (if applicable) to build dashboards or internal monitoring tools.
- Write clean, maintainable & efficient code with proper documentation.
- Monitor API performance, debug issues & implement improvements.
- Work closely with QA & DevOps teams to ensure high quality deployment & monitoring.
- Stay updated with Amazon SP-API changes & ensure the application remains compliant.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of backend development experience with strong knowledge of
    / Python / Java (any one)

.
- Proven experience in integrating with
Amazon SP-API

or
Amazon MWS

.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API architecture, JSON, OAuth2 & secure API communication.
- Experience in handling API rate limits, token-based authentication & multi-threaded sync processes.
- Knowledge of working with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, EC2, S3) is a plus.
- Problem solving mindset with a focus on automation & efficiency.
- Good communication skills & ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in inventory management systems or eCommerce integrations.
  • Knowledge of Walmart/Shopify APIs is an added advantage.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture.
