As a Data Scientist – Risk at CARS24, you'll drive credit risk and fraud modeling. We need 10+ years' Data Science experience, strong Python skills, and expertise in Financial Services, Fintech, NBFC, Insurance, or Loans.
What will you drive?
- Design and implement advanced risk and credit models for loans, insurance, and financial products.
- Develop and deploy fraud detection, credit scoring, and portfolio monitoring frameworks.
- Analyze large-scale structured and unstructured datasets to identify early risk signals.
- Collaborate with business, product, and lending teams to design data-driven risk strategies.
- Automate dashboards and reporting to deliver actionable insights to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in risk modeling.
- Mentor junior team members and drive best practices in data science for risk.
Who are we looking for?
- 10+ years of experience in Data Science with strong focus on Risk/Credit Risk analytics.
- Proven experience in Financial Services, Fintech, Insurance, Loans, or NBFCs.
- Expert hands-on skills in Python (must-have), with proficiency in SQL, R, or other tools.
- Deep understanding of machine learning, predictive modeling, and statistical methods.
- Strong knowledge of credit risk, fraud analytics, underwriting, and portfolio management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Track record of building scalable, high-impact risk models in a fast-paced environment.
