Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Deputy Manager Tool Room, based at our Ahmedabad location. The Deputy Manager will oversee the daily operations of the tool room, manage tool design and maintenance, and ensure efficient inventory control. They will supervise the team, coordinate with production departments, assist in the management of operations, and develop effective work processes. The candidate will also identify areas for process improvement and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills to assess tool performance, diagnose issues, and implement efficient solutions
- Experience in customer service to liaise effectively with clients and address tool-related concerns
- Proficiency in project management to plan, execute, and oversee tool development and improvement projects
- Ability to provide training and mentor the tool room team to enhance productivity and operational skills
- Experience in operations management to optimize tool room processes and maintain equipment
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Familiarity with automotive manufacturing and related standards is a plus
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
