Job Summary:

We are looking for a Java Developer with strong DevOps experience to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Java development, while also possessing hands-on expertise with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud platforms. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable software systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality Java-based applications.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment using Terraform, Ansible, or similar IaC tools.
  • Containerize applications using Docker, and orchestrate using Kubernetes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and services.
  • Work with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to build scalable solutions.
  • Ensure security, scalability, and performance across environments.
  • Collaborate with QA, Product, and Operations teams in an Agile environment.

Required Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience in Java (Java 8 or above), Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
  • Proficient with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle, etc.
  • Good knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with at least one cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools: ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps and cloud environments.
  • Exposure to SRE principles and infrastructure monitoring.
  • Certifications in Java, AWS, or DevOps tools.
