Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Lead –
Data Analyst (Production)
to join our manufacturing operations team in Tiruppur. The role is responsible for analysing and interpreting data across knitting, dyeing, and garmenting operations to drive efficiency, productivity, capacity planning, and quality improvements. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with production, planning, merchandising, sourcing, and quality teams to provide actionable insights and implement data-driven tools and processes that enhance overall operational performance.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Production Data Analysis

• Perform comprehensive data analysis across knitting, dyeing, and garmenting units to identify process inefficiencies, capacity utilization, and quality trends.
• Evaluate production performance across in-house and outsourced factories, as well as raw material suppliers, to ensure consistency and alignment with company standards.

2. Reporting & Dashboards

• Prepare and maintain detailed production and quality reports, including capacity metrics, rejection rates, output tracking, and efficiency KPIs.
• Design and automate data dashboards using Power BI, Excel, and Google Sheets to present real-time production and quality insights.
• Generate customized reports to support strategic and operational decisions by management teams.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with merchandising, sourcing, planning, production, and quality teams to ensure timely and accurate flow of production data.
• Provide analytical support to various departments for forecasting, production planning, and capacity assessment.

4. Tool Implementation & Process Improvement

• Lead initiatives to implement and integrate new data tools and analytics systems into the production process.
• Continuously identify opportunities to optimize data collection, reporting accuracy, and automation within the production data flow.

• Use data-driven analysis to identify root causes of production challenges and recommend actionable solutions.
• Support senior management in strategic decision-making through predictive and trend-based analytics.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.
• Experience:
  3-5 years of relevant experience in data analytics within a manufacturing or textile production environment

Skills & Technical Competencies

Technical Proficiency:

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (data modelling, pivot tables, complex formulas, dashboards).
• Strong experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or R for data analysis and automation (mandatory).
• Familiarity with ERP systems or production tracking software preferred.

Mandatory Requirements

• Proven experience in production and quality data analytics in textile or apparel manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, and at least one programming language for data analytics (Python / SQL / R).
• Strong understanding of capacity metrics, production flow, and supply chain data.
• Experience in data visualization and reporting automation.
• Located in or willing to relocate to Tiruppur.
• Comfortable with Tamil.
