Position Summary
Client is seeking an experienced SharePoint Developer to design, develop, and maintain their corporate Intranet Portal using SharePoint technologies. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in SharePoint development, with a strong focus on building collaborative intranet sites, custom web parts, workflows, and integrations to improve organizational communication and productivity.---

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy custom SharePoint solutions tailored for the Intranet Portal to enhance user experience and collaboration.
  • Create and maintain SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, workflows, and web parts using SharePoint Designer, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), and Power Platform tools like PowerApps and Power Automate.
  • Develop responsive, mobile-friendly intranet pages using HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
  • Build and customize intranet components such as landing pages, department templates, newsletters, banners, and multimedia content.
  • Implement and manage SharePoint security, permissions, and access controls to ensure compliance and data protection.
  • Migrate content and data between SharePoint environments using migration tools like Sharegate or Metalogix.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and provide regular status updates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint issues, optimize performance, and ensure high availability of the intranet portal.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including user guides and development standards.
  • Mentor junior developers and assist in code reviews and best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and governance policies.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 4 to 5 years of professional experience in SharePoint development, including SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server (2010/2013/2016).
  • Strong expertise in SharePoint Framework (SPFx), SharePoint Designer, PowerApps, and Power Automate.
  • Proficient in front-end web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery, and responsive design frameworks like Bootstrap.
  • Experience with custom web parts, workflows, forms development, and integration with other business applications.
  • Experience in Angular or React is Must
  • Knowledge of SharePoint security models, permissions, and governance.
  • Experience with SharePoint migration tools such as Sharegate, Quest, or Metalogix.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, CSOM, and client-side scripting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an Agile environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders..

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 suite integration.
  • Experience in Angular or React is Must
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for SharePoint administration.
  • Exposure to InfoPath forms and Nintex workflows.
  • Experience in coaching or mentoring junior developers.
