About the Role :
We are seeking a skilled *Firmware Engineer* to join our team. This role is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong expertise in embedded systems development and low-level programming. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing firmware that powers our robotic systems, ensuring seamless integration with hardware and reliable real-time performance.
Responsibilities :
* Design, develop, and optimize firmware for microcontrollers and embedded systems used in robotic platforms.
* Work closely with hardware and PCB design engineers to ensure smooth hardware–software integration.
* Implement and debug communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, and CAN.
* Write efficient, low-level C/C++ code to handle real-time control, sensor integration, and actuator management.
* Perform unit testing, debugging, and validation of firmware on target hardware.
* Ensure firmware reliability, scalability, and maintainability with proper documentation.
* Support hardware bring-up, troubleshooting, and system-level debugging.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electronics, robotics) to deliver robust system solutions.
* Maintain source code in version control systems (e.g., Git) and follow best practices in embedded development.
Required Skills and Experience :
*Educational Background:B.E./B.Tech in Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, Electrical, or a related field.
*Experience: 1–3 years of experience in firmware/embedded systems development.
*Programming: Strong proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems.
*Microcontrollers: Hands-on experience with ARM Cortex, AVR, PIC, or similar families.
*Protocols: Experience with I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, and other embedded communication protocols.
*Debugging Tools: Familiarity with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD debuggers.
*Problem-Solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot firmware–hardware issues.
*Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication, ability to work in a team.
