We are looking for a skilled Appian Developer with 4 to 6 years of experience to design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade BPM solutions using the Appian platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Appian application development, integration, and process automation, capable of delivering scalable and efficient business process management applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement Appian applications, including process models, user interfaces (SAIL forms), business rules, and integrations using Appians low-code/no-code capabilities.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and analysts to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions and workflows.
  • Build robust integrations with external systems and middleware using REST, SOAP, and other web services.
  • Lead and mentor mid-level developers, providing technical guidance and ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting of Appian applications to ensure high quality and performance.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, test cases, and deployment guides.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, demos, and continuous integration/delivery.
  • Optimize application performance, especially for high-volume and high-usage applications.
  • Support Appian platform upgrades, environment setup, and deployment activities.
  • Stay updated with the latest Appian features such as Appian AI capabilities, data fabric, and GenAI plugins to drive innovation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • L2 Certification is Mandatory.
  • 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in Appian application development, including process modelling, SAIL interface design, and integration development.
  • Appian certifications such as Appian Certified Associate Developer, Appian Designer, or Senior/Lead Developer certifications are highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of BPM concepts and Appian guardrails.
  • Proficiency in integrating Appian with external systems using REST, SOAP, JWT, and related technologies.
  • Experience with Java, SQL, and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for customization and plugin development.
  • Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server) and data modeling.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and version control systems like Git.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in leading or mentoring a team of developers.
  • Knowledge of Appian AI features such as Email Classification, Document Classification, and Prompt Builder.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices.
  • Exposure to performance tuning, automation testing, and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure setup for on-premises Appian deployments.
