Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated L1 Network Engineer who has a basic understanding of networking concepts and hands-on experience with routers, switches, and access points.

The candidate will be responsible for first-level troubleshooting, installation, and support of enterprise network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic installation and configuration of routers, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Monitor network performance and report faults or outages to L2/L3 support teams.
  • Assist in LAN/WAN troubleshooting — identifying cable faults, connectivity issues, and IP conflicts.
  • Handle user complaints related to internet connectivity and network access.
  • Provide onsite support for network rollouts, patching, and basic rack dressing.
  • Coordinate with vendors or service providers for link-related issues.
  • Maintain daily activity and incident logs.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level engineers.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain proper documentation.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and Routing.
  • Familiarity with Cisco devices (Router & Switch basic configuration).
  • Knowledge of Access Points and basic Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
  • Ability to use tools like ping, tracert, ipconfig, telnet, and putty.
  • Understanding of physical network components (Cat6 cable, patch panel, LIU, etc.).
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Willingness to work in shifts and travel as per site requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CCNA (Routing & Switching) or equivalent certification.
  • Knowledge of firewall basics (Fortigate, Sophos, or Cisco ASA — added advantage).
  • Experience with any NMS (Network Monitoring System) tools is a plus.

Salary Range:
₹15,000 – ₹25,000 per month (based on skills & project)
