Essential Qualifications & Experience (as per AICTE/UGC norms):

  • Ph.D. in Engineering/Technology with first-class degree at Bachelors and Masters level in Engineering.
  • Minimum 15 years of teaching/research/industry experience, of which at least 5 years in a leadership position such as Professor/Head/Dean/Principal.
  • Strong academic and administrative leadership with a proven track record in accreditation, research, and institutional development.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic and Academic Leadership:

  • Drive strategic planning and execution to propel institutional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations from statutory bodies like NAAC, NBA, UGC, and AICTE.
  • Oversee all aspects of institutional governance and administration.
  • Ensure effective implementation of policies laid down by Governing Body/University.

Quality Assurance and Accreditation:

  • Lead the preparation and execution of accreditation processes for NAAC and NBA.
  • Support and promote Institute for Autonomy and Deemed University.
  • Implement and monitor internal quality assurance mechanisms.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in teaching, learning, and research.

Funding and Collaboration:

  • Secure funding and grants from various government and non-government agencies.
  • Establish and strengthen collaborations with industry, particularly with MNCs and tech companies.
  • Build robust linkages with alumni and other stakeholders for resource generation.

Student-Centric Development:

  • Support and promote student-centric activities and initiatives.
  • Provide incubation support to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship among students.
  • Ensure student welfare and discipline, including managing grievances and promoting a positive campus environment.

Infrastructure and Resource Management:

  • Plan and manage the development of infrastructure and academic resources.
  • Ensure effective utilization of facilities, including the library and laboratories.
  • Oversee financial management and budget preparation.

Faculty and Staff Management:

  • Nurture and facilitate faculty development through training and professional growth programs.
  • Supervise and guide faculty and staff members in academic and administrative activities.
  • Supervise academic schedules, examinations, and evaluation systems.
  • Maintain harmonious relationships with all members of the institution.

External Relations:

  • Strengthen institute-industry relations and placement activities.
  • Manage liaison activities with government, corporate, and academic bodies.
