Overview: As a Fashion & Textile Designer, you will play a vital role in the creation and development of textile designs for the fashion industry. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and creating designs, patterns, and prints for various fabrics and materials, ensuring that they align with the latest fashion trends and market demands.Key Responsibilities:
  • Researching and identifying fashion trends, colors, and fabrics.
  • Developing textile designs and patterns using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Collaborating with the design team to create cohesive collections that reflect the brand's identity.
  • Conducting market research and analyzing consumer preferences to inform design decisions.
  • Creating mood boards, color palettes, and design presentations for internal and client review.
  • Translating design concepts into technical specifications for production.
  • Working closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the quality and feasibility of designs.
  • Participating in fittings and providing input on fabric selection and design adjustments.
  • Staying updated on industry developments, textile innovations, and sustainable practices.
  • Managing deadlines and prioritizing workload effectively.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in textile design and print development within the fashion industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar programs.
  • Strong understanding of color theory, fabric properties, and production processes.
  • Excellent sketching and illustration skills to communicate design ideas effectively.
  • Ability to interpret market trends and consumer preferences into innovative textile designs.
  • Knowledge of sustainable and eco-friendly textile practices is a plus.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to convey design concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a focus on quality and precision in design execution.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining creativity and innovation.
