1. POSITION VACANT: Corporate Partnerships Officer, Sightsavers India, Ahmedabad (Work from Home)
2. ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Sightsavers India has been operating for over 59 years since its establishment in 1966 in India. Throughout its history, it has made a significant impact in the field of eye health and disability inclusion. The organisation has played a crucial role in preventing avoidable blindness and promoting disability inclusion. Sightsavers India has conducted numerous eye health programs, surgeries, and treatments, reaching millions of people in need.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Partnerships, the Corporate Partnerships Officer (CPO) will be responsible for establishing partnerships with corporate in the assigned states of Gujarat and Rajasthan for raising funds for Sightsavers programmes in line with the Sightsavers programme strategy and the newly formed CSR law.
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Develop contacts and networking with different types/ ranges of companies, including small and medium size enterprises;
(2) Reach out to potential donors through cold-calling and emails and establish new partnerships with corporate for CSR giving and ensure that Sightsavers India becomes their primary choice of preference in the sector among corporates in assigned states;
(3) Follow the Corporate Partnerships Strategy of Sightsavers India and to develop relationship with corporate interested in associating with the cause of Sightsavers India across assigned locations;
(4) Coordinate with internal team to develop corporate presentations and proposals based upon client requirement;
(5) Identify and tap potential SME and MNCs in the assigned states;
(6) Lead donor meetings and provide follow-up support;
(7) Follow up with proposals sent, coordinate signing of MoUs, complete documentation needed for closing the funding and organize documentation needed for donors in response to the funds received;
(8) Maintain database of all prospective donors on CRM;
(9) Comply with all reporting requirements including, achievement and pipeline reports, etc.
(10) Meet donor requirement on employee volunteering; Coordination with donor team and internal team for planning and execution of volunteering activities.
The above description contains the main outline of the post holder duties. However, in an organisation such as Sightsavers with a relatively small staff, it is inevitable that responsibilities and task may vary from time to time. All staff are therefore expected to respond with a flexible approach when tasks arise which are not specifically covered in this job description. Should an additional responsibility or task become a regular part of an employees job, the job description will be amended in consultation with the employee.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification and Experience:
Applicants must have a graduate degree. A post-graduate qualification in marketing, is desirable.
Experience:
(1) At least three years of relevant experience in marketing and fundraising/ sales;
(2) In depth knowledge and understanding of B2B funnels, pitch, proposal development, negotiations and closures;
(3) Understanding of the corporate fundraising market in India will be an advantage;
(4) Experience of working in a team and able to contribute for achieving the objectives;
(5) Understanding of CSR laws and other laws impacting corporate fundraising.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
Gross compensation budgeted for the position ranges from INR lacs per annum. Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
6. LOCATION: The candidate will be based in Ahmedabad and will work from home, with one week of travel every month.
